Ford Focus MK2 front brake dust problem?

Ok me and my brother have exactly the same Ford Focus both on 2006 plates. Both have done nearly the same miles but for some reason my car produces a lot of brake dust on the front alloys where as my brothers barley leaves a trace of it. Does it mean my brakes are in a worse condition than his if they are producing a lot more dust?
