My mom and menopause?

My mom has recently told me that she wants to leave my step dad and move in with me and my husband. No one knows of any existing problems between the 2 of them. This is just all of a sudden. It would be fine for her to move in but we have no room for her. She knows that the only extra room we have in our house for our baby that will be here in a couple of months. She recently found out that she's in the early stages of menopause. Ever since she's been acting more irrational about small things. Making a mountain out of a mole hill so to speak. Now she wants to leave my step dad just out of the blue. Could all this be due because of her going through menopause? It's really stressing me and my husband out because we don't know what to do. How should i handle the situation?
