Hi i am going to Beirut Lebanon soon and i am American.?

I just wanted to know if all the things go on there if me being american will that be a bad idea. I have to go i have to take a risk for my love.Just wanted to see how people feel about me going there. I would really love to hear what Lebanese people have to say.
