Can i put an apple snail in my tank?

I have a cold water tank. It has an ornament, live plants, good filter and a lid with a light but no heater. The tank is 31 litres. I am going to be getting 6-7 white cloud mountain minnows and i was wondering can i put an apple snail in to or is it too big. Will 1 snail cause and infestation in my tank because i don't want that. The shop also sells Porcupine Snails,Hairy Snails and Batman Snails would any of these be better again the same questions apply would they give me infestation problems with one snail or is the water to cold or are they going to be too big
