If god is the creator - why is that he has no control over interstellar processes for example?

black holes, quasar explosions emitting radiation for hundreds of light years, cataclysmic meteor strikes - do people of faith believe that these processes are controlled by a higher power - the universe is completely outta control - one asteroid knocked outta the kuiper belt and we're all done for (game over) - isn't god irrelevent in this regard
